When it REALLY counted, I grabbed my Dash
Like many of my co-workers here at Dash I really enjoying testing out competitive products. Therefore, at any given point in time I can have up to four different GPS systems in my car, three competitive units, and a Dash unit.
At 8:00 am last Wednesday I found myself in particularly stressful situation, I had to drive my pregnant wife from our place in Sunnyvale CA to Stanford hospital, because we were about to have our second daughter. At a time like this parental instinct takes over and company allegiances get tossed out the window… all I wanted to do was to get to Stanford as fast as possible. I knew the most direct route was a local highway (the infamous US 101), but this local highway can be a parking lot at 8am. My other option was to take various surface streets, but I really needed to know what traffic was like on these two routes before making my first turn!
Well, I am happy to report that without hesitation I grabbed my Dash Express to answer this question for me, leaving multiple competitive units in the glove compartment and on the floor. It turned out that Dash suggested I take 101 North since our traffic data said it wasn’t very congested that morning, and I am happy to say Dash was right. I am even more pleased to report that both Mom and baby are doing well!

Congratulations to you and your wife! I understand your stress in this situation and I’m glad to hear that the DashX alleviated some of it. Like many others, I’m anxiously awaiting getting my hands on one, and every little anecdote like this only strengthens the anticipation. RTM can’t be soon enough for us!

Congratulations on the new addition to the family. We’re eager to get our hands on a Dash unit to help navigate this horrible Dallas traffic.

“Dash Express is loaded to facinate us with on the go telling us;
* Better routes to get destination considering the traffic flow.
* Better ways to get destination by giving us specifc options to sho, eat and drink.
* Better options to explore locality of route.
Features which I admire most,
* MyDash: Allows me to create button and upload to Dash device through Internet.
* Send2Car: Allows me to talk to car from my laptop to updates like addresses.
